BAU International University Batumi Receives International "Medicine" Accreditation

BAU International University Batumi, part of BAU Global in Georgia, has received international accreditation by decision of the Accreditation Council of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.

BAU International University Batumi, which began education with its first medical students in the 2015-2016 academic year in the city of Batumi in Georgia, Türkiye's neighbor, has received international accreditation in the field of Medicine by decision of the Accreditation Council of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.

Accreditation by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, the first quality assurance agency in Europe to receive recognition status from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), provides worldwide recognition status among universities both in Georgia and abroad. The accreditation aims to raise the highest scientific and ethical standards in medical education and to improve the quality of medical education worldwide.

Commenting on the matter, BAU International University Batumi President Prof. Dr. Demet Akın said: "As a faculty of medicine, we received the international accreditation granted by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement on our first application, by fully meeting the criteria. This accreditation means that our faculty is recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education. Thanks to this, our students graduating from the BAU International University Batumi Faculty of Medicine will have the opportunity both to continue their education and to find employment at many medical schools in the United States and Europe."
